International Workshop on Advances and Trends of V2X Networks
Joint with Chinacom 2017, Xi’an, China
International Workshop on Advances and Trends of V2X Networks will be held in conjunction with CHINACOM 2017 in Xi’an, China, October 10 – 13, 2017. Accepted and presented papers will be included in the CHINACOM2017 conference Proceedings and IEEE Xplore (pending), and submitted to EI for indexing.
Connected vehicle is one of the key technologies for safer and more efficient transportation systems. Vehicle-to Everything (V2X) communications including Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V), Vehicle-to-Road(V2R) and Vehicle-to-Infrastructure (V2I) have attracted much attention in the last decade, and the standardization effort for vehicular communications has led to the development of IEEE 802.11p and discussions about 5G-enabled V2X solutions. Despite a number of initiatives, research works, and tests, there are still questions and concerns about how to provide reliable and scalable low latency connectivity, design secure and robust systems, and about the development of applications for improved safety and cooperative driving.
The objective of this workshop is to provide a forum for researchers and technologists to present new ideas and contributions in the form of technical papers, panel discussions and tutorials of ideas in the field of vehicle-to everything (V2X) communications. It is intended to bring together various V2X communication systems developers to discuss the current status, technical challenges, standards, fundamental issues, and future services and applications in the form of technical sessions and tutorials.
Specific topics of the conference include (but not limited to):
- PHY and radio channel models for V2X
- Radio resource and interference management for V2X
- MAC, routing, and transport protocols for vehicular networks
- Spectrum policies for vehicular communications
- 5G, and hybrid 5G/802.11p technologies for V2X
- Standardization 9 QoS and reliability in vehicular networks
- Context-awareness in vehicular environments
- Green car and energy efficiency
- Mobility management
- Scalability and dependability
- Security and privacy in vehicular networks
- Performance analysis and simulation
- Experimental systems, test beds, and pilot studies
- ADAS and V2X service
- V2X for autonomous and cooperative driving
